Scarlet grace

it is not enough to just see Him,

 not enough to know.

it is not enough to listen to Him,
not enough to obey.

 
we must touch, and be touched by Him,
taste, and savor His form;

to caress the body scarred, and feel the splinters sharp,
to be held in the open wounds, deep in His tender hands.

we in Him and He in us,
drink, and bathe in the scarlet grace.

it is then we come to so love Him...
the love we find our rest.
